MESOTHELIOMA - A DESCRIPTION AND OVERVIEW

Mesothelioma is a medical term referring to a very deadly illness. It is an aggressive illness that kills quickly and mercilessly. Some people who are given this dire and grave diagnosis, live for less than 24 months, others for year. Others live years undiagnosed as the disease creeps up on them, latent for years and then suddenly manifesting itself. This is part of the mystery and 'enigma' of this illness that medical practitioners are trying to make sense of.

It is typically diagnosed where workers or individuals have been exposed to high levels of asbestos. Dirt, dust, mines and other contexts where it is present, really represents a hazardous working environment, where no one is safe. That is, not as long as there is any kind of asbestos in the vicinity.

It is a gradual process and you might not even notice that it is killing you slowly, until it is too late. Mesothelioma can be prevented and by reducing unnecessary or any exposure to the deadly mineral Asbestos, you are improving your chances of not contracting the disease.

Inhaling harmful contaminants, your lungs are affected by this invasive, attacking cancer that depleted and feeds on the lung's inner linings. Asbestos residue and dust on work-clothes and tools can even putting families and children in the home at risk

The illness can be latent and lingering for years (even 20-30 years) and some may never see the full effects of this deadly disease, called Mesothelioma (again until it is too late).

Asbestos is responsible for a number of side effects, which can cause anything from discomfort to death. Asbestosis and pleural plaques can result from exposure to asbestos, and more notably so can mesothelioma, a deadly cancer that can take many decades to develop but only a matter of months from the onset of symptoms to kill

Mesothelioma is a cancerous disease growing in occurrence and prevalence. Medical sources define it as a disease or illness that attacks the mesothelial cells (these are present around the critical organs, like the heart, stomach and lungs. It is a disease that kills, with no exceptions.
